A Play-based, relationship-centered program rooted in respect for children and their development.

Who We Are
Imaginarium Play School is a licensed child care program serving young children in a nurturing, play-based environment. Our work is grounded in respect for children, thoughtful observation, and the belief that learning unfolds best through relationships, exploration, and meaningful daily experiences.
We value childhood as a time of curiosity, movement, connection, and imagination—not something to be rushed.
Our Story
Imaginarium Play School was created from years of experience in early childhood care and a deep commitment to developmentally appropriate practice. Our program reflects ongoing professional learning, mentoring, and reflection centered on listening closely to children and responding with intention.
This work has been shaped by relationship-centered mentoring and professional learning inspired by Listen to the Children, which emphasizes observing children deeply, honoring their ideas, and supporting learning through play rather than pressure or early academics.
Rather than following rigid lesson plans, we focus on understanding each child’s development, interests, and needs—then creating environments and experiences that allow learning to unfold naturally.
What We Believe
-
Children are capable, curious, and deserving of respect
-
Strong, trusting relationships are the foundation of learning
-
Play is a meaningful and powerful way children make sense of the world
-
Behavior is communication and should be met with understanding
-
Learning and development happen at different paces for every child
Our Environment
-
Our environment is intentionally designed to support independence, creativity, and emotional well-being. Children are offered open-ended materials, predictable routines, and opportunities for both active play and quiet engagement.
-
Small group care allows educators to remain present, responsive, and consistent—supporting children as individuals while fostering a sense of belonging and community.
Partnering With Families
-
We believe families are essential partners in children’s care and learning. Open communication, mutual trust, and shared understanding guide our relationships with families.
-
Caregivers can expect transparency, consistency, and thoughtful collaboration as we support children together through their early years.
